MISSION STATEMENT:
Driven by the same passion that began when I was 12 years old—mowing lawns to buy my first pair of sneakers—this project celebrates the power of personal style and self-expression through design. Growing up in Florida during the ’90s, bold colors and distinctive aesthetics shaped my understanding of identity in streetwear. That early moment of stepping into a sneaker store and choosing a pair that truly represented me continues to inspire my creative process today.
The “REMIX” design concept reimagines sneaker culture through individuality, adaptability, and storytelling. Featuring a dynamic koi fish pattern symbolizing strength and endurance, the design merges vibrant Florida-inspired colors with modern functionality, including an innovative lacing system that allows the shoe to be worn either laced or as a slip-on.
This project reflects my mission as a designer: to create footwear that empowers people to express their unique style while honoring the culture, memories, and personal journeys that shape who we are.
